Dominic's Surgery Day~Sept. 6, 2012

Dominic had surgery for his chronic nosebleeds. In this photo he is 5 yrs. old. This was his 2nd surgery to have in his life due to the severe nosebleeds. Most (about 90%) of the bleeds occur when he is sleeping! He was having several bleeds each week. Lots of sleep lost due to cleaning up blood and sheets during the night! He has red sheets, so luckily they don't stain! LOL

Since this last surgery he has only had 2 bleeds! Due to what the Dr. says about the cause, we have reason to believe that the chronic bleeds will return. After his 1st surgery he did well for almost a year. Then slowly, but surely the bleeding started again....and continued to get worse. Which led us to this most recent surgery on Sept. 6th. It is Feburary now (as I type this) and so far so good! Just 2 bleeds since surgery and we are 5 months out! Hopefully this is a good sign that maybe it won't be a lifelong problem. Only time will tell!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! ~August 2012

Ivey and Dominic are going to new schools this year! I will have 4 kids at 4 different schools...no I'm not kidding! Ugh! None of them ride the bus...My van is the bus....

Ivey's school is from 3rd-5th grade. Dominic's school is K-5-2nd grade. Brennan's is middle school of course. Mylah goes to a daycare part-time on the days I need to sleep after work! We are in the process of moving to a new home, so some of the school district for Ivey & Dominic will change. We went ahead and registered them for the new schools so they don't have to change a month or two into the new year.

Ivey is excited about starting a new school this year! This girl has no fear! She loves new experiences and people :)

Brennan ~7th grade

Boot on the foot...I don't even know how many casts and boots this kid has had now! I just know I will never be out of dept with her Ortho Dr's! UGH I still say cheerleading/tumbling has got to be more hazardous than football! And some say its not a sport.

Poor Mylah...she kept saying she wanted a backpack like the big kids!

SWIM CLUB~July 2012

BEST FRIENDS SAY GOODBYE FOR NOW

We went to a Sushi restaurant to say goodbye to some very good friends! It was both a happy and sad occasion....with lots of laughing, and tears too. Brennan and Miya met in K-5 and have been best friends since that day! Now 13 years old! I became friends with Joslin (Miya's mom) over the years as well. They are an amazing family! Their oldest daughter Madelyn has been pursuing an acting career in California for about 3 or 4 years now. She has done several commercials, an episode of "Good Luck Charlie", an episode of "House", "CSI Miami", and a movie "Riding 79". We are proud of her! Maddie has some great parents, who are helping all their kids reach their dreams! The family has been split for several years back and forth between their home here on the Gulf Coast, and their home in Cali. They finally decided to move all 4 children to Cali to be together full time again! We sure do miss them so much! Of course Brennan would love it if they would just let Miya move back here and live with us! We are hopeful that they can move back here to the South one day :)

THE LITTLE ZOO THAT COULD! July 2012

It was a very hot day at the zoo! The kids had a fun time feeding all sorts of animals! Of course Ivey was begging to bring home a monkey :) That child is going to have a house full of pets someday. As I sit and type this she is arguing with me about why we NEED another cat!

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo was featured on Animal Planet as "The Little Zoo That Could". I think there were 13 episodes which aired around Feburary 2006. It is located just a few miles from the beach. It attracted media attention during Hurrican Ivan. The Zoo reopened after being battered by 3 Hurricanes in 2004 and 2005 (Ivan, Dennis, and Katrina).

The alligator did not like Mylah at all! He was sleeping as we watched him. Mylah decided to throw a tantrum about something. The alligator started growling/roaring loudly back at us! That caught Mylah's attention! LOL As soon as she stopped screaming, the alligator stopped roaring and went right back to sleep. So funny!

BLUE ANGELS! July 2012

We went to watch the Blue Angel's air show in Florida! The beach is beautiful (Pensacola....one of our favorites)! It was a very hot day but we had a blast! Brennan's friend Lauren R. tagged along with us. BeBe (my mom) also came along.

The Blue Angels are always amazing to watch! They are the Navy Flight Exhibition Team...the best of the best! Approximately 11 million people view their shows each year....you should go see them if you ever get the chance
