DOMINIC GRADUATES FROM K~4

Dominic was happy to graduate from K~4! He just began attending this daycare on April 23rd. He started K-4  in October at a public school where his previous foster mom lived. He adjusted well to starting a new school once he moved in with us. He calls it "Happy School"! He will be in Kindergarten next year and will be at Ivey's school! Brennan had an orthodontic appointment that morning so I let her tag along with me to Dominic's graduation afterwards! She should have been at school! Mylah was there too!

Dominic's Haircut!

I took Dominic to get his haircut in May. I know...really not a big deal to you guys! But it was my first time taking him to get it cut so I had to take pics! Sweet memories! And wow! I never knew boys had to go so often! They told me to bring him every week! The look on my face must have told them no way! So then they said every 2 weeks would probably be fine. I'm still thinking that every 3-4 weeks will do! I guess we will see. But I know I will not be taking him every week....or even every 2 weeks. I would be broke! 3 weeks will be doable.

GYMNASTICS

Dominic and Mylah both started taking gymnastics in May '2012. They love going to class with Coach Elaina! Neither of them pay a whole lot of attention or really try to learn much at this point....but they do have lots of fun!

Ivey's Field Day!

Ivey had a blast at her field day in April! She enjoyed her 2nd grade year with Ms. Whitney. She made lots of new friends and is excited about being a big 3rd grader next year!
Dominic, Mylah and I tagged along to watch Ivey's class compete in the games! Ivey's teacher even let Dominic play many of the games. He loved it!

EASTER MORNING

1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a  living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through fatih for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

We had a wonderful Easter! We are blessed in many ways! Dominic moved in with us Easter weekend and celebrated his first Easter with our family. He didn't know what to think about his Easter basket and all the goodies the "easter bunny" left for him! In his past he never got goodies from Santa or the Easter Bunny, so it was a new and joyful experience for him to imagine a bunny bringing a basket of treats! We dyed eggs that afternoon after church!

APRIL 6th~HAPPY DAY!

On April 6th Dominic moved in with us permanently! We were only given one days notice, but it was a welcome surprise! We had a meeting with Social Workers on the 5th. During the meeting we had a conference call with Dominic's foster mom, and his counselor (who were both unable to attend the meeting). It was decided, due to information I choose to keep private, that Dominic should be moved to our home immediately. The original plan put in place by the Social Workers was for Dominic to move in with us at the end of May. Dominic was very happy when I picked him up on the 6th and he knew he was moving into his new home with his forever family! That weekend we had a bonfire in the backyard. Here are a few pics! We are blessed to have this precious child in our family :) May God heal him of his early childhood troubles and allow him to live life to the fullest!

SCHOOL AWARDS!

On March 29th, 2012 Mylah and I went to Brennan's school and Ivey's school to watch the awards programs. Ivey got an Honor Roll award! Brennan and her BFF's Savannah M., Miya H., and Meaghan H. got into the National Jr. Honor Society! Way to go girls! Brennan was in the National Elementary Honor Society in 5th grade and is keeping awesome grades in advanced classes in 6th grade! Soon school will be out for summer :)
