CADE'S COVE (02-23-12)

After we spent the first part of the day at the Ripley's attractions, we went to Cade's Cove. We grabbed a bucket of chicken so we could have a picnic once we arrived! It's about a 40 minute drive from the condo, and the scenery is beautiful on the way there! There are streams along the roadside, and you can see people fishing in them. Once we got to Cade's we saw several deer. There are really old farm houses, and churchs that you can tour as well.

Wonderworks and Dixie Stampede! (02-24-12)

We had a great time at a really cool place called Wonderworks! The building is upside down, and when you first walk inside everything is upside down as well! There was so much to do in this place. There was a rock wall, and tons of space related activities. I think Danny and I had just as much fun as the kids! The ceiling was this huge obstacle course! It was amazing! It was neon and had planets and stars....made you feel like you were in space! Brennan and Ivey were a little nervous at first but they completed the whole course! Danny did it also. I tried, but didn't even make it halfway through! The height really got to me and made me start feeling dizzy and panicky! I can ride rollercoasters and things like that but could not handle walking on tight ropes, ect. way in the air! Of course you are harnessed in so you can't fall to your death but it still just freaked me out too much!

Mylah loved the Bubble Lab! There was lots to do for people of all ages....we definetly want to visit there again!

DOLLY PARDON'S DIXIE STAMPEDE!

The girls loved seeing the horses at the dinner show! We had to sit on the North side, and the South won. Brennan and Ivey wanted to sit on the South side, but you don't get to choose! Mylah really loved the horses! After the show we went to the gift shop and let Ivey and Mylah get a stuffed animal horse. They also got one to bring back for Dominic!

VACATION! ~Gatlinburg, Tn. (Feb. 2012)

We went on vacation in February when the kids were out of school for a week for their Mardi Gras break. My parents own a condo in Gatlinburg, Tn. so we were able to go on a nice trip without spending tons of money! The condo is in Pigeon Forge (right outside of Gatlinburg) and is called Golf View Condo's. We left on Feb. 20th and it took about 9 or 10 hours to get there. The kids were great in the car!



Danny, Ivey and Mylah enjoyed the indoor heated pool while we were there!






We requested to take Dominic with us on the trip, but were denied. At that time we had only seen Dominic two times. The first time was only for an hour and 1/2 and the second time was for about 9 hours for a day visit at our home. DHR did not feel comfortable with us taking him so far away, since we did not know what type of behaviors he may display while he is trying to get to know our family.
