HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We had a fun time celebrating New Year's at home with some of our friends in the neighborhood! We shot lots of fireworks off in our culdesac. It was a very nasty night! In fact, my pictures turned out terrible due to all the moisture in the air that night! It looks like it was snowing in these pics....of course, it was not snowing here on the Gulf Coast! It wasn't raining either, but there was very thick fog and moisture that night. Danny and our friend Shane "launched" off this really cool lantern type thing. I cannot remember the correct name for it! The kids enjoyed watching it disappear way up into the sky! I wish I had bought a few more of those lanterns....I liked it more than the fireworks! Mylah was not real sure about the fireworks. and she stayed in someone's lap at all times. As usual, we didn't quite stay up until midnight....we were too tired!
HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOD BLESS~

CHRISTMAS MORNING! 2011

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for He will save people from their sins.

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! We enjoyed staying home all day to play! I had to work later that night so I took a little Christmas nap! Nanny (Freda) and Big Daddy (Jim) always come over on Christmas morning to eat breakfast casserole and watch the kids having fun!

The girls have really enjoyed their go cart buggy! We have a great culdesac for them to ride in. Even Ivey learned to drive it with ease! Danny and I enjoy riding in it too! And Mylah is constantly wanting to go for a ride!

We are very thankful for the birth of Christ :)

Merry Christmas~

Ivey's Haircut

Ivey decided recently that she wanted to get her hair cut real short....."like Amanda's" she said. Amanda is her BFF who lives next door....who actually looks JUST like Dora the Explorer! She's super cute! Anyway, for the longest time all I have heard is "I want to grow my hair long, long to the floor....just like Rapunzel's"! So now all of a sudden she changed her mind...well, that is Ivey's personality! So I took her and Mylah to the mall for a fun day to ride the carousel and train ride. Ivey saw a hair cutting place in the mall and wanted to go right then for a haircut....so that we did! Anyway, it looks cute! Ivey is lucky that she can wear her hair real short or very long....she has "good" hair. Brennan and I would look terrible with short hair because we have coarse hair. Brennan's is at least curly and doesn't frizz as bad as mine! Mine however looks like I stuck my finger in an electric socket unless I blow it straight, then straighten it more with my Chi. So here are before and after pics.

Playing with Friends!

We were happy to get to hang out with some of our dearest friends during the Christmas break! We enjoyed playing with Kendall :) We also got to meet my friend Tasha at the park with her girls Lauren and Eli. Faith came along with us to the park! Danny loved seeing his friend Todd and Todd's daughter Maddy! Brennan's friend Lauren went with us downtown, and she also lives by us so we see her all the time :) Ivey played constantly with Amanda, who lives right next door.
We had a great time on movie day...we saw "We Bought A Zoo"! We were with the 3 "B boys", Kendall, Savannah, and Amanda.

New Year's Reflections

Looking back on the months gone by, As a new year starts and an old one ends,

We contemplate what brought us joy, And we think of our loved ones and our friends.

Recalling all the happy times, Remembering how they enriched our lives,

We reflect upon who really counts, As the fresh and bright new year arrives.

And when we ponder those who do, we immediately think of you.

Thanks for being one of the reasons we'll have a Happy New Year!
